Com os recentes e futuros desenvolvimentos da exploração e produção de petróleo e gás, um assunto amplamente discutido na atualidade é o Gerenciamento da Integridade de Risers Flexíveis.

O gerenciamento da integridade dos risers flexíveis é o meio de assegurar que estes desempenhem suas funções, ao longo do seu ciclo de vida, de forma eficaz e eficiente. Ao mesmo tempo, este tema traz enormes desafios, tais como: a garantia da integridade do equipamento submarino, sua inspeção e o monitoramento do seu funcionamento e a expansão da capacidade de operar de forma segura.

Este é um processo complexo que envolve diferentes atores, tais como: Operadoras, Fabricantes, Agências Reguladoras, Empresas de Inspeção e Monitoramento, Consultorias, enfim, diversos profissionais e instituições com diferentes interfaces.

A realização do Fórum, com duração de um dia, visa reunir estas diferentes interfaces apresentando os principais desdobramentos, desafios, novas tecnologias, regulamentações, pesquisa, desenvolvimento e inovação e promover uma ampla discussão entre especialistas nacionais e internacionais do tema.

This year edition of the Conaend&IEV - Congresso Nacional de Ensaios Não Destrutivos (Conaend&IEV –National Congress of Non-Destructive Tests and Inspections) will have the unprecedented event: Flexible Riser Integrity Management (FRIM) or Flexible Risers Integrity Management on August 24, in the city of São Paulo.

Responsible for petroleum flow in the bottom of the sea up to platforms (or tankers), these ducts (risers) are structures of huge importance to guarantee the operation of offshore petroleum platforms. Subject to limit strengths, they demand extreme safety. The subject is complex and requires a strong performance in terms of inspection and monitoring, notably regarding the prevention of accidents and environment protection. It is worth stressing that Brazil is the biggest user of flexible risers compared to the rest of the world, therefore being the ideal place to foster this debate.

Earmarked to operators, regulatory agencies, inspection and monitoring companies, consultants and manufacturers the forum Flexible Riser Integrity Management aims towards joining all these different agents, presenting a landscape regarding these structures, identifying the challenges of flexible risers integrity management and to encourage a wide debate among the world’s experts.

The content is divided in two blocks. In the first day debates will be about the importance of flexible risers integrity management in the world; failures in the world and the importance of sharing information among operators; flexible ducts integrity management. Still during the first day the second block will discuss the technologies and challenges under the viewpoint of operators, installation companies and manufacturers; closing the day with a round-table.
